The thing I like about this most, is the fact that it’s a lie.
Monkeys can be trained better than Jagex Support.
I’ve even seen legit reports where they use racial abuse against Jagex Moderators AND get their account unbanned, it’s pathetic, so much for me applying for them.
I couldn’t help laughing from this little comic, but I believe we all are rational thinkers here. How in the world do you think that JAGeX could harbor enough money to personally review and investigate each and every report, even if they wanted to?
I understand that, but automating offences such as “Real World Item Trading” that create false positives when players give away items is just ridiculous since these bans aren’t able to be appealed.
Honestly, I think that the entire framework of the game is in danger in comparison to very savvy MMORPGs that do not put such emphasis on raising levels. This old-fashioned game model is the reason why Jagex have to moderate player activity so closely. If the entire “economy” of Runescape was not built upon the tedious clicks that retrieve coal, nature runes, etc. then things would be a lot different.
Yes, you have a point; every game (and everything in real life) have a couple of issues, and in RuneScape’s case, it’s outdated systems (the game engine, ban appeals, ect). That’s what brings players into the game and also brings them out. RuneScape is sort of “beginner’s” MMPORG, where players learn how great they are, but shows how terrible the game engine is. It’s what makes RuneScape unique.
I have been playing RuneScape for a long time and i do think the ‘report abuse’ button is a little over the top.I never use it. I think if they want to stop people doing bad things they should get a group of peeps in every world and look around for peeps doin bad stuff

3 Hit U, the reason for the unbanning from racial abuse is because a lot of accounts are banned or unbanned by bots, not real people.

This is exactly the point! Jagex are the ones who need the ban…

It’s the cold truth of a free market system.
