Fansite Disrispekt@@!
I’ve posted 79 posts (including this one) on this blog. 3 of which actually criticise any fan site. That means that 3.8% of what I actually post expresses any disapproval of a fan site. Now, weirdly, this pissed off so many people. It all started when a few ex-Draynor members decided to dig up a four day old topic in the sandbox of our site about Draynor closing. Talk about s— stirring? Well, let me show you what one of them posted:

LOLOWNED MOTHER FUCKING NOOBS.
Y DON’T U SUE DRAYNOR, U COULD LOSE A COUPLE HUNDRED BUCKS AND GET COUNTER-SUED 4 COPYING DRAYNOR.
I don’t think I need to say much more about the average IQ of Draynor members. Racial expletives, expletives in general, groundless accusations, poor knowledge of the legal system. It goes on. Look, Russel “Escablade” Bowen , I know you have no life..but using racial slurs on a family-friendly website is pretty low.
Also, Mr. Devlin Palmer (whois, is a b—-, isn’t it?), another esteemed member of Draynor was unable to put up decent arguments with me, so he called me a “bitch” and said that I was “very ugly”. Unable to substantiate his argument, he resorted to personal attacks. Pathetic? Extremely.
Disrespecting fan sites is actually against the rules on our forums. Our members are not allowed to flame other websites on the forum itself. As for the accusation that RSBANDB staff members have “spammed” Draynor in the past? Well, I did complain to a moderator there that a picture of a hairy nipple bothered me but I did that privately. Another member simply posted on the forums saying that the image was very disturbing and he was banned.
I regret having to ban some of the Draynor people who visit my blog, but I cannot tolerate losers who have my posts/comments on their RSS feed waiting to anxiously to jump at the sign of my presence. Oh, before I forget, this was posted on one of their blogs:
I also had a pathetic excuse for a interview over at RuneWeb, but the people had great disdain for Draynor, stooping so low as to make many offensive regards to the site. I hope all sites aren’t like them.
The folks over at RuneWeb don’t even like you guys? Wait a minute.. so RSBANDB doesn’t like you, Leetscape doesn’t like you, and RuneWeb? I’m going to venture out and say that maybe they have their reasons and it’s something more than Draynor’s “popularity” (popularity being in quotes since the site is now closed). Maybe no one likes you all because you go on people’s personal blogs and attack them, spam their forums with racial slurs, and tell them that Draynor was the first to make goal/stat sigs when RSBANDB has been doing it for three years. That could be the reason.
So go ahead an try to spam my blog. I appreciate the attention (considering I was only able to write this entry because of your blunders), but your comments will continue to be deleted. Do you see me posting on your blog and/or site? No? That might tell you that I’m not actually bothered enough to do so and it’s sad that you are.

RSBANDB is going to earn a reputation for badmouthing other fansites, on the other hand. It’s bad enough from our normal members, but the staff are who other forums really care about. As much as I agree with everything being said, sometimes I think these things get taken too far…

Well, Chiefy, I write a lot of things that sometimes shouldn’t really be written since they’re controversial or bound to start a fight. Since this is my personal blog, Shane gives me the freedom to do so and I really thank him for it. So when I say something on my own personal blog, it’s because I’m personally expressing what I feel/think. If I were posting this on an official RSBANDB blog about the site or whatever, my posts would not be appropriate.
Since I’m not being paid by RSBANDB or anything, I don’t have to censor my opinions and I take advantage of that. Writing in my blog is one of the most enjoyable things to do at the end of the day.

Everyone dislikes Draynor because of the allegid stolen source, i have proven it is not stole. People disliking Draynor is not Draynor’s fault. You are judging Draynor on two people not the whole community. Most people in the community were friendly people.

Lol, hi there (yes it’s real me but I guess people could say it was when it wasn’t)…
… Being the owner of LS (LeetScape) I must admit (I don’t dig at people unless they dig at me, I’m not that kind of person, but many people seem to have the wrong idea of me anyway).
Clooth (Draynor owner) used to work with me on LS until he tried “selling” me something for RS gp, which infact was copied code, and he then got his Zybez position removed lol.
Draynor (I must admit) then formed their own site and quite simply dominated the entire 3rd party RS section for around 2 months, now look where they are lol.
I shouldn’t lass at their “mis-fortune” if you can call it that, but they where all “in your face” when they had visitors to their site, now they’re like “please, PLEASE join us!!!” lol.
Makes me laugh, I might ask RSBandB to come to some sort of deal in the not to distant future (im in need of quest guides :$) lol

Well I’m actually slightly glad our dislike for them is shared across other sites. I can see now other fansites saw the same behavior we did.
I have to wonder how many other sites have received racist attacks and mass spamming of vulgar content from these guys. Oh and 3 hit, yeah this is her blog.

Okay, I’m going to say this once…and only once…because it is something that has to be learned though exhaustion and no through osmosis.
a) Don’t lower yourself to their level. The best thing to do with a whiny brat is just to ignore them…they are doing it to get attention. Inadvertently you have promoted them by simply giving them more attention. If something is bad let it die…for it most certainly will.
b)Obviously as 3 hit U has pointed out…they were the fad for a while…and now they have sputtered. Imitation can never match the real thing.
Spend your time promoting those you care for (Shane and Mike who do a solid job here come to mind and that is a compliment not flattery)instead of wasting it on worthless people that will only gobble it up.
c) If your enemy wants to dig his own grave…hand him a shovel and walk away. Do not help him, let him do all the work himself. Then he will have no one else to blame, but himself.
On that college thread you were talking about things you learned. I forgot to add this…one of the greatest things you learn at University or College is time management. You can’t control a lot of things in college but you can control your own performance…and that is usually good enough to get where you are going. Along those lines you must pick your battles carefully because you only have so much time to and energy to fight things with. Whether you are fighting homework, sleep, or just the drunk guy vomiting in the toilet across from your room, they all take time and energy so pick your battles carefully. Focus on the positive, avoid the negative, and stick to the plan…prop RSB&B up…and don’t worry about draynor.net.

Hello Mushroom Queen. After calming down a little (about 5 seconds after I got banned on RSBandB), I realized that I had just made a total a– of myself, in addition to being the Internet noob I’ve always despised.
What I did was unacceptable and will stay on my mind as long as I live, which is why I’m apologizing to you. Hopefully we can walk away from this, and as many people above me have said, “Let this die.”
I have been a Draynor fanboy for way too long, and it’ll probably always be a part of me. After reading that topic about Draynor, it sort of got me upset and I got carried away. I understand if you don’t wish to forgive me, I’d be pretty pis— too if that happened to me.
I tried emailing Brad about this matter, but either I got the wrong address, or he’s still pretty sore about all this.
Anyway, I don’t want you to be reading this for an hour or two, so I’ll sum this up; what I did was pretty low, and for this I apologize.

Personally I’m getting a little irritated by the way people are treating other fansites. We all like runescape, why can’t we get along?
If you stay at one particular fansite then yes, you’re going to “hate” the others, but is there really any need for this mass-bashing?
It’s just giving people a bad image of those who are at rsbandb. Especially topics like “rhq sux”, “draynor steals ideas” and so on.
Oh, and it’s not a personal attack MQ. A lot of people above seem to be inclined to bash other fansites for simply being different fansites. :/

Escablade, I’m not going flame you if you honestly apologise. The thing that upset me most was that I had people spamming my blog for the sake that I had a different opinion on things. If I had told people to spam Draynor or your site, then I’d understand it if I had people coming on here to call me a “bitch”, but I simply expressed an opinion, as did other people. I also want to let this die, nothing is weirder than having to check for new comments on a post I made two months ago.
I think that as long as both of our sites introduce unique and creative ideas, we’ll do well no matter what. It’s good to finally have an end to this.

Well, I don’t speak for my friends at Draynor in saying this (they’d be pretty pis– if I did try to), but I’m thinking they’ve sort of lost their temper too. Imagine having RSBandB close down suddenly. Would you be mad if people trashed your site’s name, saying “LOL, they finally shut down RSBandB.” You would be pretty upset, no?
Honestly speaking, I’ve pretty much ditched Zybez going to Draynor, and I really couldn’t find anywhere else to go to.
Well, I really couldn’t go anywhere else except for RuneUnderground; I’ve been in the process of trial and error with that site for a loooong time (maybe a couple of years). When I joined Draynor I sort of slacked off on the project, but when it started dying down, I got it running again. And unfortunately, around the day Clooth gave up on Draynor, I finally released it.
I’m hoping you can relate.

I’m not sure that I ever said that I was glad that Draynor was closed on RSBANDB. I said that I foresaw it and that I thought that Clooth should have at least told everyone what was going on before closing the site. My criticisms of the it were made well before the actual closing of Draynor, however. Honestly, nobody from Draynor really read the entry until recently.
Either way, I hope that your site doesn’t start out by living off some of the negative things about Draynor (ie the policing of other Runescape forums over bogus infringement claims). When it comes down to it, nobody should worried about other people making signatures that look similar to theirs and whatnot. As long as you can make something creative and useful, people will know whose site to go to.

I wasn’t really talking about you trashing Draynor’s name in that way; I was talking about a lot of posts in that topic at RSBandB. That’s what got me riled up.

Well well, I have just read through every single detail on your whole blog. Some fine work youv done there Mushroom Queen. Yes, your obsolutly spot on about Draynor and its community. You have my full support and I am 110% sure that you have everyone elses support that comes in contact with this blog.
