Just because I don’t play RS any more doesn’t mean I can’t have suggestions for it. With that said, I thought of an idea that would really work well with Runescape, providing Jagex can actually do it right. Multiple characters.

How it would work:
Your main account name (in my case, Extremewench) would be reserved along with your character. So, both the account name and the character name are reserved. Then, you’d have the choice to make another character of any name you wish, providing it’s not someone else’s character/account name. Upon login, you’ll be allowed to select which character you want to play with.
Why should Jagex do this:
Since Jagex have introduced draconian measures to deal with RWIT (real world item trading), people can’t trade their items to another account. I find this to be plainly wrong. Why shouldn’t people be allowed to have different characters? Why shouldn’t they be allowed to experience Runescape in a different way by being a mage, ranger, or a skill pure. By giving paying members the chance to make more than one character, they can satisfy the desire of players to be able to have multiple characters without being disadvantaged by the new RWIT rules. There could be one central bank (with more bank space than previously) that interacts with all characters on an account. Things like quest items will not show up for characters that have not done the required quest, but everything else will remain.

So, I did the unthinkable. Yes, I’m now Playing World of Warcraft. I’m finding it to be lots of fun, albeit a little complicated to understand. I like the game enough to pay the subscription fee since I feel like Blizzard does a good job, not only with its community, but with its game. Brad has been giving me a hand with getting used to it and we’ve even made an RSBANDB guild!
The only catch is that we need 10 people to sign our charter. So, if you are a European WoW player, please make a character on the Anachronos server and sign our petition. Creepy’s playing now too, so I’m doubly happy. We haven’t actually been able to play together though as he’s feeling under the weather.

Yesterday, I finished another piece of art. I think this is the best I’ve done in a while and according to Creepy, it’s one of my absolute best.

I’m not going to write a big long rant about how unhappy I am with the new changes to Runescape, I think I said all I wanted to say by cancelling my membership and quitting the game. I’ll stay around to help with the Christmas event, but then I’m fully done.
In more exciting news, I’m moving my interest over to my xbox. Creepy and I played Halo today and I didn’t suck as much as I did a few days ago. If this keeps improving, I definitely won’t miss RS. I will still be helping to design and work with RuneWire.

Buy your own RuneHQ thong today! (don’t forget to get your dog a top as well!)
Funny RuneHQ news entry on their website from 2004.
RuneHQ is written for Microsoft Internet Explorer. We support only MSIE. We could care less about Netscape, Firefox, Mozilla or any other browsers you care to use.
If things don’t work and you are not using MSIE or if the site does not look good on your browser that is not IE, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF, WE DON’T CARE and we won’t support your issue. Post about it and we find out your not using MSIE, expect to get a warning or banned if you keep complaining.
Don’t complain, don’t ask and learn to live with it. This decision will never ever change as long as Weezyrowe and I own this site. We REFUSE to code this site for any other browser! If you don’t like this decision, then, See Ya Later, we could care less!!! Actually, we wish some of you complaining babies that complain about everthing would leave!
The next person to tell us about another browser is likely to get banned! I am tired of people telling me something on the site does not work or the site looks like crap only to find out your using Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox or some other off the wall browser. IF YOU TRY TO USE ANY BROWSER OTHER THAN MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER ON RUNEHQ, YOU ARE ON YOU OWN! Message me via pm/MSN or any other message medium including email, and mention any browser other than IE and I guarentee you you will be blocked permanently from contacting me!

The players depress me even more each day.

She replied with “r u being sarcastic?” and I told her that childhood malnutrition is not a joking matter. Horrid wench.

I made my first Star Trek-themed art and since Shane approves, I’ll post it here.

Yeah, the lighting on the left shoulder is a little messed up and one of the eyebrows is slightly larger than the other. Minor stuff considering I had a good time making it. I just love Vulcans.

Alright, let’s not
Lately, I’ve been in a bit of a bind, rut, hole, et cetera. I’ve read a lot of fantastic books that I want to review, I’ve seen a few films that have made me think a little bit on things, but my brain feels tired. I have so many things that I want to say, but when I write them down they just seem meaningless and empty. I’ve actually tried to write a few entries in this blog after writing that short bit about the Sandbox, but I’ve usually just gotten bored and X’ed out of the window.
On top of that, I feel like I’m sort of letting people who read this blog down. I suppose that this is because I read other people’s blogs for the interesting, thought-provoking, or even just amusing posts. Right now, I just feel all dried-up. There’s really no excuse like “Oh, I have coursework” or “Oh, I have work”, it’s mostly that I feel like I can’t completely materialise my thoughts into words. On top of that, I’ve had little inspiration for making art. One of the things that I worry about most is feeling “stuck in a rut” for a long time. For a whole year, I stopped making art once. I don’t want a year to go by until something finally gives me the drive to create things, whether they’re just my silly blog posts or not.
Something will come along, I guess. (cue to prompt readers to respond) Do you guys ever get stuck? What do you do to get out of it?

So, there’s been some debate over here about the Sandbox. At one time (not too long ago), the same person complaining about it once praised it for having a rich culture. Either way, I’m not blaming anyone for changing their minds about the Sandbox. Sometimes, good things in excess can be a little too much for anyone.
I was joking around with Shane and I told him that the Sandbox should be hidden from public view for two weeks to see if overall post quality went up. This sort of got me thinking.. would post quality go up if that were the case? Users spend a lot of their time in the Sandbox and if it weren’t pruned, it’d no doubt be the largest subforum on RSBANDB.
What if we hid the Sandbox from view for a while? Would it make a difference, and if so, how? Should we consider it? I don’t know, honestly. I always like having a few laughs, but things in RSBANDB have lately been a little sluggish. I’d like to know what you all think.
