“It’s supposed to look like that”

I hate seeing people say that when you give con/crit to their art. It’s the most utterly retarded thing to say. If someone says something like, “This part of your photomanip looks a little pixel-y and low quality” to me, I’m going to say “Thank you, I hadn’t noticed that”. I’m NOT going to try to make up an excuse and say “It was meant to be like that because [bullshit excuse]“. Accept criticism on your work or don’t post anything. If you DID intentionally do what’s being criticised..maybe you should realise that it’s a crappy looking effect.
