If I were to tell someone a problem and say, “I can’t stand what’s going on at X”. And if I were told that I’m just overreacting or wrong..would that stop me? It’d have to depend on who you were and what you truly wanted. If you wanted power, acknowledgment, or just attention..then your intentions are wrong, no matter what you mask them with. If we want to make a public scene about something, do we only do it when we know that 2-3 people can back us up? Are there even real problems when we complain?
The difference between complaints and problems is the argument and solution. If you complain without either an argument or a solution, then what you say is basically without merit. Arguments don’t consist of “I’ve talked to people who feel the same way as I do” and they certainly don’t rely on what you perceive a person to be. No matter how right you believe yourself to be, you don’t know everything you claim to know.
There is one sure way to address a problem. Through understanding, acknowledgment of both sides, and suggestions for a logical solution. It’s not as popular a way to go about things, but it’s more honourable and it’s certainly more mature. If you’re going to blindly point fingers, there are ten pointing right back at you.

Lots of people have left. Things “aren’t the way they used to be”. I don’t see it as a bad thing and I don’t see it as a decline. But if feels like nothing is really going anywhere. I guess that over time, we all grow sick of the games we play but we’re normally closer to the people we meet. I know I am. Is there a point to this post? Well, maybe.
You see, you play a game (i.e. Runescape) because you get foolishly attached (note how I didn’t say “addicted) to it and you like meeting other people who are the same way. Then, after some time.. the game is less and less thrilling. It happens to everyone. So then you stick around because you like the people there. Then the people you like leave. Then you leave.
That’s the anatomy of how fansite communities exist. It is, thankfully, an ongoing process preventing things from dying altogether. But it doesn’t make it any less sad. It does make me wonder when I’ll feel that it’s my time to go. For now, I hope never.

As some of you may know, Litvinenko was a former KGB colonel who was allegedly poisoned by Russian counterparts in London. Yesterday, he succumbed to the poison (which caused all of his hair to fall out) and died. I find this really saddening. A man who vocally opposes a regime (Vladimir Putin) is killed– just like Anna Politkovskaya.
It was found that he was poisoned with Polonium 210– a radioactive agent that is complicated to produce and require advanced technology. This is the first time any such case of using a radioactive material to poison someone has been seen. Traces of Polonium 210 could be found in Litvinenko’s home and restaurant he ate at. Poisoning seems to be the weapon of choice, since it was used to on Viktor Yuschenko (leaving his face disfigured).
It just goes to show that Russia will never be a democracy under thugs/Putin.

Hrm, I wish I had a way to make a category of all the movies I’ve seen so far along with my ratings and review. I’m sure it’s been done before, but I barely know anything about modding this blog. The only significant thing I’ve done to it was add and “About Me” page which took me A LONG TIME TO DO. But I felt proud.
Anyway, since I watch about 5 movies per week..I’d be great to do. If anyone has ANY idea how to do it, let me know.
I just got done watching Kukushka. It’s a Russian film that takes place in Finland. It’s about a Finnish soldier who is chained to a rock by his comrades (he was considered too much of a weakling and pacifist) and is left with a few supplies to live for a week or so. When he manages to break free, he meets a Lapp woman who lives alone. When he arrives to her house, he sees that she is taking care of a wounded Russian soldier. Since all three of the main characters in this film speak a language that the other cannot understand (Finnish, Lapp, and Russian), there’s a lot of confusion and misunderstanding which leads to a lot of serious (sometimes funny) events. I’d recommend it. It’s subtitled in English since three languages are being actively spoken and I think it’s worth watching. KIND OF WARMS YOUR HEART, YOU KNOW?

Yeah! So I go out to pick up a bowl of soup and some crackers for dinner and I see a friend of mine. She’s getting her food wrapped up to-go and I ask where she’s off to.She tells me that Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, is speaking in a little bookstore downtown to promote his new book! Now, I either had two choices.. I could go back to my room and eat my soup while watching Wheel-of-Fortune (some idiotic American game show where people guess the letters of a message for money) since my roommate commandeered the computer OR I could go see Woz. NATURALLY, anyone would have chosen the latter.
So we drive over to this rather dumpy looking bookstore near a liquor shop (lol, had to add that in for dramatic effect) and we find chairs close enough to be able to make a dash to the book-signing area when he finishes speaking. He’s a very interesting and funny guy. He talked about his history with Steve Jobs and the troubles he had finding money to fund his education and such..and the hilarious pranks both of them did. So, after an hour, he finishes. I stand in queue with my friend and we’re only about 7 people away from him. I WISH we had a camera because then I’d have proof, but you’ll have to take my word for it. Well, he signs my friend’s book (I would’ve bought a book but: 1. I’m low on money 2. They were sold out) and we tell him all sorts of nice and friendly things like, “Ohh, we enjoy Apple products and such..blah blah blah”. I mean, what else can you say? But, yeah, fun experience considering I had an altogether shitty day.
I shook his hand. Therefore, if you shook my hand..you’d be shaking his hand. Shake my hand. Now.

New photomanip. I had a lot of problems with it yesterday so I left it alone for a while. I like it though. I should make more grunge manips. I LOVE that stone bridge in the back. The whole thing looks pretty good. Even the scary I’m-gonna-eat-your-face woman. You can see it here on my dA account.
Now then, I’ve been thinking about making a tutorial on photomanip, but if you know a little about it..you’ll know that it’s very hard to cover the whole style. So I’ve been wondering if people would rather have tuts on Grunge, Fantasy, Dark, or Surreal photomanip or actual tips on it.
I’m working on making Creepy a sig a la Rayman’s Raving Rabbids. I’m ummm having trouble painting the actual rabbits, but we’ll see how this goes.

Weirdly, it makes me moderate comments on here and I don’t know how to make it stop.
I accidentally marked Nubish and Chief Snake’s comments as spam. Help! My blog is broken-ish.
OH. No worries, I fixed it.
There shouldn’t be any more issues.

For my headache and for art. I’m currently just looking at Wacom since they’re most reputable, but I think I rather keep an eye out for other medium-priced tablets. I think if I find a good one, it’ll be my birthday present. But supposedly, my gift was going to be a trip to Russia. Yeahh, not sure if I would call spending 9 days with my relatives a holiday. Plus, if I do go I rather it be not by myself. Anyway, back to the point– graphics tablets. I won’t be needing a huge one, 4×5 or 4×6 will be just fine..but I don’t want any fruity colours like “dark blue”. Either silver or gray. I hate using this laptop mouse, it’s seriously hurting my hand. I can’t wait for the day when I can actually draw my art. It’ll help as I move away from photomanip and toward digital painting and airbrushing.
IF you’re reading this and you have some knowledge on tablets, comment here and give me good advice.
Here’s what I’m looking at right now:

Look what I’ve done! I decided to follow suit and get a blog of my own. Thank you, Shane, for making this for me. I’m not sure what to do though. I think I’m making a post right now. There are so many links..and codes. I’ll figure it out. Anyhow, I shall post all sorts of things here. I’ve had a lot of ideas recently and I find myself thinking, “OH, I could blog this!” Well, now I can.
If you’re reading this and you have a blog, leave a comment and I’ll put you in my links! Well, I most likely will unless something bad happens to me or this blog. But for your sake, I hope all goes well.
